The Maturity Question

 • Series: Better Decisions, Fewer Regrets

Better Decisions, Fewer Regrets. This phrase echoed throughout our recent mission journey in Cuba. Sometimes, it was a sly remark after a mistake; sometimes it was a word of warning on an unlevel or slippery sidewalk. And, sometimes, it was an observation of lessons learned as we heard about how various ministries in Cuba have evolved and grown over the years. There is no substitute for experience in our life of faithfulness. The Apostle Paul writes: “be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Renewing. This is a process of growing in our ability to ask good questions, make better decisions, and (hopefully) experience fewer regrets. This week we are taking time to examine The Maturity Question. We are called to grow. It comes in leaps and bounds, slow steady progress, and sometimes in repetition of old mistakes until lessons take root. No matter our path, we are called to continue forward in persistent discipleship, always trusting that God is faithful in the process.
