Pride & Humility
• Series: DO UNTO OTHERS
This Sunday, we’re gathering for the third and final message in our series, “Do Unto Others,” where we’ll dive into the theme of Pride and Humility, drawing from Micah 6:6-8. It’s been a powerful journey reflecting on how Jesus calls us to live with kindness and compassion toward one another. Earlier this week, Pastor Pete, Pastor Sharon, and I sent a Special eMessenger following the conclusion of the 2024 Election season. We invited you to join us in a prayer of peace, adapted from St. Francis of Assisi, as we seek to embody Jesus' call to 'Do unto others.' This season reminds us of our shared commitment to kindness and compassion, even—especially—when we encounter different viewpoints. May we continue to treat one another with the love and respect that unites us as followers of Christ. Throughout this series, we’ve asked ourselves, “How do I want to be treated?” – especially when conversations get tough. The Golden Rule is simple yet transformative, fostering kindness, respect, humility, and love across differences. This Sunday, let’s explore why kindness can feel hard and discuss practical ways we can treat others as we want to be treated.
