It is *Well: A Series on Mental and Emotional Wellbeing
Human flourishing is holistic – heart, soul, mind, and strength. Our mental and emotional wellbeing is part of God’s hope for us. And yet countless people in our church and community struggle – often in secret – to honestly say “It is well” when it comes to mental and emotional health. Often, it is *not well. In this series, we’ll explore mental and emotional wellbeing – what it is, how it affects us and those around us, and how (and where) God is present. Together, using the lenses of scripture, personal experience, and psychology, we’ll break down harmful myths surrounding faith and mental health and embrace life-giving truths. We’ll work to be honest about our struggles and surrender our shame to the God who cares deeply about our whole being – body, mind, and spirit. And we’ll celebrate that on the lifelong journey towards mental wellbeing – when it is well, and when it is not – we never walk alone. We walk together, accompanied by God, every step of the way.
